Cass King of The WetSpots, whom I have now seen six times, has made a leap towards star quality. Sean O’Shea is an Elvis impersonator who got a standing ovation! Not only a brilliant character comic, but a better singer than Elvis. At Cloverdale’s recent Elvismania, he placed third in competition, which means Cloverdale is full of idiots.

Daniel Packard is a comic up from San Francisco who did extremely well in the XVII Van Intl Com Fest and is staying right through the Fringe Thing at the Crush Champagne Lounge. A soft-spoken chap, on stage he swells to this arrogant, acid-tongued bastard, and a funny one at that.

My favourite moment in the show was when Marilyn Monroe (aka Wintur the Celebrity — well, you get it) dragged me on stage to dance, swap moustaches, and engage in domination-flavoured simulated sex with a huge black strap-on cock. Which, where I come from, means we’re now married. "
